Funambules Médias offers video training tailored to the needs of each participant. Three options are available to young participants:

  1. A formula that consists in allowing young people to make the film from A to Z with the help of one of our trainers.
  2. Formula that aims to explain to young people how to make a film without assuming the responsibility of the project. The coach will write the project, look for financing, take care of the technical aspects, and will be in charge of the final product.
  3. A hybrid formula where the person in charge adapts to the participants as the project unfolds. The goal is for the participant to take charge of the technical aspects but the coach takes over if he/she does not feel comfortable with the exercise.

This program is aimed at young people between 16 and 24 years of age, who are just starting out or who come from neighborhoods that are on the periphery of the cultural offer. We introduce them to documentary film culture and invite them to discover little-known cinemas near their neighborhoods. Young people can thus deconstruct documentary art, and to reflect and speak out on social issues that affect our society. It is also an opportunity to discover little-known cinemas in these neighbourhoods.

Drawing on their extensive experience in video production around the world, Funambules Médias members offer pre-departure training courses for volunteers wishing to make videos abroad. These training sessions, which are very useful for documenting your cooperation trips, will provide you with essential tools for collecting testimonials, familiarizing you with the various realities and problems experienced in the field, and sharing your achievements with as many people as possible.
